[Comment: Since early 2008, an intriguing scenario has been slowly unfolding, involving an equivocal claim of impending UFO disclosure by two “ET investigators,” Clay and Shawn Pickering. AI don't care to know all the details, but a Cliff Notes version of  the saga reveals an anonymous Naval officer (“Source A”)  with high-security clearance who is part of a “UFO Working Group”  within the UN. This group has been allegedly setup to address the subject of the UFO/ET disclosure process. "Source A" has divulged this to the Pickerings and is feeding them information about the UN group’s activities and stated goals.  TOr something like thay… Predicatably, the growing exopolitic peanut gallery is gasping and the popcorn venders are rockin... bla-bla-blah Exopolitics notables such as “Dr.” Michael Salla, Andre Weber, Ed Komarek, and Robert Morningsky, et al., have published a number of articles that appeared to corroborate and bolster the Pickering’s claims; big names have been dragged into the fray and the story is growing  gams amid a rising tide of doubt within the UFO community. The burbling saga has become grist for countless posts on the Open Minds Forum and, at times, the debate has grown so heated that the faithful faithless have been banned by OMF moderators. Can you say typhoon in a spitoon?"

Ouch, and folks wonder why the UFO subject flunked Rodney Dangerfield's School of Respect. Hmmm

Can I Get A Grip?

FWIW: Normaly, I never give any of these types of claims any attention, nor do I ever publicly comment on any part of these alleged stories too good to be true. As with most claims in the so-called disclosure/exopolitic realm  (Lear, Alien Autopsy, SERPO, Carter/Reagan/Clinton/Obama—disclosure, Wilcock/Peterson, ad nauseum) I can't believe anyone (exercising the slightest bit of critical thinking) could take these tall tales at face value. But, alas,  human nature is what it is, and there are many of us who want  so fervently to believe in “ETs” and “aliens,” that we will buy, without thinking, any story or claim that caters to our quasi-religious ufo-illogical zeal . Why is this? Where is the "buyers remorse?" I'm confused… is this suspension of diselief do to wishful thinking, or is the trickster utilizing the tools and methods of the trade?

This is the stuff of a decent screenplay. Maybe the Pickerings have a hidden agenda being pitched by well-placed Hollywood agent. If this melodramatic property of "disclosure" (as a marketable interest) continues to become grist for the pop-culture mill, IMO, it may be highly revealing of the tools and methods of tricksterism, uh, I mean disclosure.

Obviously, if you have even the slightest knowledge about the history of "disinformation" as it has effectively manifested in the ufo community, you’d agree that this is a closet subject blindspot. (Re-read Vallee's book Messengers of Deception .)  and my new book Stalking the Tricksters

IMO: "Source A" is just the latest smelly bait placed on a long line of stinky tuna lures. I’m not going to digress into the subject of disinfo as it relates to this particular scenario, but I urge motivated seekers to do their own research on the backgrounds of the leading figures in the flapping “exopolitics” wing of ufology and  (while you are at it) look into those who feed their questionable agenda. I’d be interested in hearing your analysis of what you uncover.

Enter Stephen Broadbent and a dedicated team of researchers.  As the Pickering saga progressed, Broadbent and others began carefully peeling back the layers of Pickering claims while investigating the identity of “Source A,” the Naval officer who was the alleged source. As with most fantastic story line drama gained from dubious anonymous sources, the fantasy has unraveled and keg now produces foam. The implications and dissertations are sure to flow as fingers are sure to be pointed and hopes are bound to be dashed. But we’ll get into the red-meat in a minute. First, some background on Source A and the Working Group, and then we’ll dive into the well fertilized Broadbent dirt.—Christopher O’Brien]

Naval Officer Source Insists on Accuracy

By Ed Komarek 3/11/09

Article HERE:  http://exopolitics.blogspot.com/

I have taken it upon myself to report on the information conveyed by an active duty naval officer associated with the Military UFO Working Group primarily communicating through UFO/ET investigators Clay and Shawn Pickering. I have done this because I believe his is a very important case that is not getting enough coverage in the UFO/ET community. Clay, Shawn and their source have presented the information through informal discussions on the Open Minds Forum over the past year.

Unless a person is willing to sift through a huge amount of discussion on several Open Minds [Forum} threads they will have little understanding of this complex case. For this reason I think I can be useful in promoting this case to a larger audience both in the UFO community and for the general public. I think this case is that important! My intention is to report on developments for those who do not have the time or the inclination to spend hundreds of hours sorting through the raw information on the OM threads.

My previous article titled, Obama Not Briefed on UFOs, has stimulated some discussion in the UFO community and amongst Clay and Shawn Pickering and their source. Source A and the Military UFO Working Group are very concerned with the accuracy of the information being presented to the public not wanting to mislead in any way. The Group and Source A are also concerned that our public focus remain with the secret UN-UFO meetings and not get distracted with Source A’s extraterrestrial experiences or with speculations about which presidents have been briefed.

Obviously the UFO Working Group and Source A have their agenda just as we in the public have ours. These agendas might not always mesh but its importance to realize that we and the UFO Working Group are in complete agreement as to the need for disclosure. I think that those of us in the civilian sector and those in the military realize the need for a give and take as we liaison together to collectively work toward disclosure and a general enlightened UFO/ET policy.

Our military friends seem to want to make the point that there are grades of accuracy that range from direct exposure to the facts to pattern recognition to speculation. They want us to understand that it is very important to be able to distinguish between these grades of accuracy. I think this is very important in their line of work because people’s lives are often on the line and dependent on accurate information.

SNIP

So there you have it. Please put our qualifications out there. Ed, it is that important. It heartens me to know Source A is very concerned about the accuracy concerning this issue. He does not wish to mislead the UFO Community in any way. It is one more notch in my faith in him and his information. Respectfully, Shawn Pickering.

What is Source A?

“Source A” is allegedly an active-duty officer in the United States Navy with a long and illustrious career, spanning nearly 40 years at sea. Nothing remarkable about that, surely? Well, as soon as you factor in the information that this particular individual liaises with Extra Terrestrial races on behalf of the UN, his career suddenly takes on a much more remarkable angle. The aforementioned ET’s allegedly have a direct political involvement in our (human) affairs, but damn, I don’t remember voting reptilian!

The fantastical story as told by “Source A” is a huge hit amongst the Exopolitical crowd, for obvious reasons. One would be forgiven for thinking that this particular story couldn’t have come along at a better time for people like Salla, Greer, Webre, Komarek et al. Two previously little known individuals, brothers by the names of Clay and Shawn Pickering, are solely to thank for catapulting this story onto an unsuspecting public in early 2008 and they have been keeping us updated ever since. Their unflinching devotion to the message is a credit to their stamina and willpower. The many obvious flaws in the story have been pointed out to them countless times, yet still they remain, still they continue. They have of course been helped by the venue they have chosen to promote this exopolitical wet dream; the “Open Minds” forum.

The Open Minds forum is well known throughout the ufological community as a place for fantasists and would-be-hoaxers to peddle their wares in comfort and without fear of reprisal. Many of those OM members who have cried foul at the Pickering’s claims, have found themselves summarily suspended and in some cases permanently banned for their troubles.

How fitting then, that it would be there that the significant first nail in the coffin of the Source A “disclosure” would be hammered home.
